In case you don't know, this year Japan 9and next year for us) will get a Final Fantasy Fighting game of sorts...and it looks to be beautifully awesome.

....I'd have an idea of what to say if I knew what the hell was going on. At least it does look better than Ehrgeiz, and possibly more entertaining. I doubt there will be a dungeon crawler mode though. I'll also be very disappointed if there aren't more playable characters from the series.

I know the creators say there is a story connecting all of the characters somehow. they keep insisting that they wanted a good buy and bad guy from each game that's very related to each other. So i presume that has something to do with the story ...i hope.
Btw i remember playing Ehrgeiz, rented it from blockbuster. Sure did wish i bough the game.

I don't know, Onion Knight doesn't even have a name.
Ehrgeiz was underrated, that's not to say it was a great game, but it had it's merits. I really should make the effort to finish the Dungeon mode sometime.
I was looking at the Japanese site for this game and it looks pretty good. All the screen shots are nice and the battle scenes look cool. I think ill definantly be playing as Zidane.

Zidane and Kefka for me. Also I agree with vincent they need more character, the only female hero is Terra, which Im glade they chose her, becuse really just about anyone could be consider the main character in FF6.

I realize that 22 characters is a good amount for a fighter, but when you consider how many playable characters have been in the Final Fantasy series, it's seems like a pretty small amount.

@ Vince, Usually when it's a new fighter then tend to be small of the fighter number. Let's just hope, if the game is really good, and sales are good they will release a sequel. Usually the sequel after the first one usually expands the roster. I just hope the core fighting engine is good. I pray that it won't be button mashingly. I love strategy in my fighters.
