Welcome to GameDome!
We want these forums to be safe and fun, and that's why we would like you to read and follow each rule that's been laid down for everyone's protection. ~ Rules ~ +++ NO SPAMMING +++ Example: Replying to a thread by saying 1 word like "Hey" or "Hi" or anything along those lines. Punishment: You could have your posts partially deleted if done excessively. > It's okay and understandable once in a while in the Community Square, but in other threads, NO. ------------------ +++ NO FLAMING +++ Example: Making a thread or replying to a thread based completely on hatred. Punishment: You could be banned and/or your posts could be erased. There should be no reason to flame anyone here on GD. ------------------ +++ NO SWEARING +++ Example: Using inappropriate or extreme and overly suggestive words in a post. Punishment: You could be banned, and you will most likely lose a lot of your posts. > "Damn" and "Hell" are okay words, but don't use them constantly. ----------------- +++ NO INAPPROPRIATE CONTENT +++ Example: No pictures or anything that would be regarded as inappropriate in the forums. Punishment: You WILL be banned, and your posts will be erased. ----------------- ADVERTISING: No advertising in a post (ex: go here to see this topic at this forum, and so forth). We need to be strict on this matter like any other forum. YOU MAY: Advertise in your sig and profile, that's okay with us. Also, you may (when you reach the Shy Guy rank) make a thread about your forum in the Community Square. NO HACKING OR "CRACKING": Example: No trying to get into or editing peoples' information, posts, and/or any other private information. Punishment: You WILL be PERMANENTLY BANNED and REPORTED TO INVISIONFREE SERVICES, and possibly the police. *Note: Time length of any ban depends on the exact rule(s) that were broken. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// ~ Keeping you safe ~ If you suspect something, such as people trying to get into your information, or putting inappropriate content on these boards, or ANYTHING else that would harm you or anyone else's privacy or information, please IMMEDIATELY contact an Administrator and it will be dealt with. The Root Administrator is willing to employ the full extent of the law in the case of illegal activity on these boards. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// ~ Bockownage ~ Sometimes you might find yourself slammed with a unique rank, called "Bockowned." If you've been Bockowned, don't complain; sometimes you might find that you've been given extra powers. ;) /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// ~ Keeping your personal information private ~ In your personal profile, you do not have to give us any personal info at all. It is entirely your choice. You can post a picture of yourself as your personal photo in your profile if you wish, but let it be known that people WILL see you. If you have any questions about what you should and shouldn't post, please ask an Administrator. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// ~ Reporting a post ~ Do you see a post that has inappropriate content, incites flaming, etc.? Report it. These are the simple steps one can take to report any post: 1. In the right top corner of each post there's a button that says "Report!" If you see a post that should be reported, please click that button. 2. You will then be asked to "Enter your report." The reason it asks this is because we want to know precisely what is inappropriate or offensive in the post, so that we can take the necessary steps to deal with the situation. So please just take a few seconds to fill out the report, and then submit it. If you do not see eventual results, please personally PM any Administrator (they are listed below). They will correct it if reporting doesn't initially work. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// ~ Proxies ~ You should not have to use a proxy on GameDome unless you have something to hide. Therefore, proxies are prohibited. Any proxy that is discovered will be added to the banned IP list, and a warning will be issued. If a member persists trying to use another proxy, suspensions as well as bans will be issued.
