No, and I predict that they'll still be running programming for everyone with old TVs.

I already have a couple of converter boxes in my house. I hooked one up, but I rarely use it, my antenna still works even when it's off.

I got a converter box set up in all the TVs here but I took mine off because I can't get CBS and NBC with it on.

Yeah, we have a converter box.
I had an antenna, I don't know if I still have it. If I do, then it's sad that I won't be able to use it, and if I threw it away, then it's sad that I had to.
I live free antenna tv. What am I supposed to do when my mom kicks me out of the house, I'm not paying for tv, no way. Besides, I barely watch tv...

We had cable until like 3 years ago, I've been using an antenna since. I think we're getting the converter box (and a new living room TV, which is mainly my grandma that uses it... and when we go near it she gets all mad D: )specifically so my grandma will have something to watch.

Already running digital, and HD (1080i). I picked up the Vizio 22" HDTV (model #VW22L) a week ago.. *drools*.. it's beautiful! I hooked my mom and grandmother up with converter boxes, which suits them fine, all they want is their TVs to work post Feb 09.
By the way.. don't buy into the whole "HD optimized antenna" BS, regular old antennas (indoor, outdoor, powered, non-powered) will work with converter boxes and HDTVs. I heard rumors about this online and decided to read up on antennas and try it out myself. So yeah.. Caveat Emptor (buyer beware).
